How long do you let the dough chill for?
This receipe is a lot like my sugar cookie receipe and when it comes to the frosting I use about 4-4 1/2 cups of powdered sugar..if this helps anyone.
You don't have to chill the dough. Most of the time I do not. I think it is easier to handle if I don't chill it. I have a canvas I roll the dough out onto so I don't have to chill it.
So I have a different recipe for Mom's sugar cookies. It is pretty similar, but has almond extract in the cookies. Mom how do you have more than one recipe? I will have to post it so you can see the differences.
my sugar cookie receipe uses vanilla, but I like the almond touch..I will have to try it. I chill mine just for a little while and then roll it out..seems to work good but you don't want to get the dough too hard.
